Comparison

Comparison is sweet!
Yes, it may sound ridiculous but hear me out.
I am going to explain in a moment how sweet it is.

Right from infancy, human beings understand things by comparing. This learning of identifying sizes and thickness is one of the developmental areas to look for in kids. So it’s in-built. Phew!

Last year around this time, I believed I should compare with myself. I gave myself an year to have a change of mind.

Yes, compare with others if you want to make progress. I am calling this constructive comparison.

Today, when you find someone better than you, don’t crush your spirit with shame. Don’t burn yourself with envy.

Accept and appreciate!
You journey to betterment gains momentum.

The act of comparison is not the thief of joy, but our shame and envy are the thieves.
